The Waveshare Human Micro-Motion Detection mmWave Sensor S3KM1110-Based 24GHz is designed to detect and identify various states of human presence, including movement, stillness, and absence. Utilizing Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave technology, this sensor is capable of processing radar signals and executing accurate human detection and ranging algorithms. It is equipped with a high-performance 24 GHz 1T1R antenna system and an onboard microcontroller unit that houses a human micro-motion sensing algorithm. This ensures precise detection of moving, micro-motion, and stationary humans.

The sensor offers a UART communication protocol, allowing for the customization of sensing distance range, sensitivity, and absence report delay, ensuring ease of operation. It also features a UART port and GPIO header outputs, facilitating connections to host boards such as Raspberry Pi and Arduino. The device is designed for versatility with a wide range of moving human body sensing distances and is suitable for both top-mounted and wall-mounted detection scenarios.
